THE STORY OF WEATHER MAGIC

Founded in 2023

Weather Magic is a transformative environmental education project that started in 2023. We embrace a strategy of empowering families and communities to engage in their local ecosystems through the lens of awareness about climate and weather.  We believe that the use of low-tech weather-related tools can facilitate the type of collective learning, collaboration and engagement that breeds joy, connection and closeness with our surrounding landscapes and with one another. These connections are at the foundation of how we also celebrate, protect and defend eachother and our beautiful resources.

What started as a passion and hobby, quickly grew to encompass people throughout local and national communities. Weather Magic engages and mobilizes families,  educators, and local citizens from all backgrounds and walks of life. Get in touch to learn more about our mission and join our cause today.

Quote

Benjamin Franklin

“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are”

Weather Magic donates a portion of revenue to the Climate Justice organization, Hip Hop Caucus. Hip Hop Caucus educates voters and advocates for climate action from the BIPOC perspective. Unfortunately, BIPOC communities are disproportionately affected by climate issues, namely because the government and corporations tend to erect factories and other harmful facilities that produce air and water pollution in those areas. Hip Hop Caucus' Think100 campaign, however, educates people on these matters and advocates for environmental and racial justice.
